Initial Nutrition Assessment (60 – 90 minutes)
The initial session consists of reviewing a food record, physical activity habits, pertinent laboratory values and growth records (children only). There will be a large amount of dietary education related to your particular nutritional needs. After the relevant information is assessed, you and Emily will work together to determine your short- and long-term goals.
Nutrition Follow Up (30 – 60 minutes)
During follow-up sessions, Emily will review your progress, address questions and work on specific areas that are challenging for you. She’ll also provide additional nutritional education. She educates, guides, supports and helps motivate you to achieve your goals.
Accountability and consistency are key to making changes. Emily provides this support with 15 minute phone or virtual meetings. This is a convenient way to monitor progress and provide additional support. Insurance does not cover online or phone support.
Virtual Nutrition Counseling
Emily also provides Virtual Nutrition Counseling. Many people find that family, work, and other commitments make it difficult to make health and nutrition a high priority. Virtual and phone counseling offers the perfect solution. For those interested in making positive changes to their eating habits, this service offers an opportunity to do so from the convenience of the home computer or telephone.
